Kung Fu Panda 3 iReader Ruckus Learning iPad Screenshot(NORWALK, CT) – Ruckus Learning™, a new division of independent digital family entertainment and education company Ruckus Media Group, today announced a collaboration with DreamWorks Animation, producer of popular family franchises such as Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon and Shrek. Ruckus will produce DreamWorks Animation Publishing’s interactive story learning apps based on Kung Fu Panda 3, HOME and DreamWorks Dragons: Race to the Edge in mobile markets in the US, Canada, and other worldwide territories.

The first title, based on DreamWorks Animation’s global hit film HOME, will debut in March 2016. That will be followed by a story app based upon Kung Fu Panda 3, the recent theatrical release. Additional Ruckus/DreamWorks Animation-branded learning apps will follow throughout 2016 and 2017. Ruckus iReader storybook learning apps help kids hone reading skills and reinforce national educational standards. Some of the topics covered include: Book Concepts, Alphabetic Knowledge, Phonics and Word Recognition, and Reading Comprehension.

The new storybook apps and additional eBook content from DreamWorks Animation Publishing will also be made available in the Ruckus Learning App, a curated application for kids where parents, teachers and caregivers may register for free and create child accounts. Should they do so, they are provided with educational feedback on their child’s experiences with all of the branded apps, eBooks and videos. This includes feedback about time spent, amount read, watched and played, along with content recommendations and additional reading and learning tips.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with DreamWorks Animation Publishing to extend our learning app product line,” said Jason Root, Chief Executive Officer for Ruckus Media Group. “These are some of the most popular, compelling characters and stories in family entertainment today, and they are sure to engage and inspire young readers.”

“Kids will reinforce their love of reading in these new interactive DreamWorks Animation storybooks, and we are pleased to offer them through the Ruckus Learning App,” said Harriet Murphy, Head of Publishing at DreamWorks Animation. “We’re excited for audiences to discover this new content and continue on in the fun and adventures of these beloved characters.”
